Featuring a fully modulating burner with up to 95% thermal efficiency, intelligent touchscreen controls, and iCOMM™ remote connectivity, the Cyclone Mxi delivers outstanding performance, reduced operating costs, and dependable hot water recovery.
The A. O. Smith Cyclone® Mxi Series represents one of the most advanced commercial condensing water heating solutions available today. Designed for restaurants, apartment buildings, healthcare facilities, schools, hotels, offices, and institutional buildings, the Cyclone Mxi combines high thermal efficiency with intelligent controls and proven commercial durability.
Its fully modulating premix burner continuously adjusts firing rates to precisely match building hot water demand. This reduces fuel consumption, minimizes cycling, and helps maintain consistent outlet water temperatures while achieving thermal efficiencies of 95% or greater.
Inside the tank, the submerged helical heat exchanger maximizes heat transfer while reducing scale formation. The Permaglas® Ultra Coat™ glass lining and powered anode protection system provide long-lasting corrosion resistance in demanding water conditions.
Every Cyclone Mxi includes a color touchscreen control with built-in diagnostics, Intelligent Demand Response (IDR), Wi-Fi connectivity through iCOMM™, and compatibility with Building Management Systems using BACnet® or Modbus® gateways.
