Sizing Guide
Selecting the right Moov Ai pump size depends on your pool's volume and the demands of your specific setup (e.g., water features, in-floor cleaning systems).
While the intelligent Pro Mode adapts to pressure changes, starting with the correct base model is crucial. For average-sized residential pools in Southern Ontario, the MP15AI (1.25 THP) often provides ample turnover. Larger pools or those requiring higher flow rates for accessories should consider the MP165AI (1.65 THP) or the robust MP2AI (2.00 THP).
A professional assessment is highly recommended to ensure you achieve the 90% energy savings these variable speed pool pumps offer without compromising filtration quality.
Installation Process
Our licensed technicians follow a strict protocol to ensure your Moov Ai pump is installed correctly:
- Site Assessment: We evaluate your current equipment pad, plumbing size (2" recommended for optimal efficiency), and electrical connections.
- Removal of Old Equipment: Safe disconnection and removal of your existing pool pump.
- Plumbing Integration: The Moov Ai is plumbed into your system, keeping suction and return lines as short and direct as possible to minimize friction loss. We ensure a minimum distance of 12 inches for any elbows near the inlet/outlet.
- Electrical Connection: The pump is hardwired to a 220-240V circuit protected by a Class A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI), utilizing solid copper bonding conductors in compliance with local electrical codes.
- System Priming and Testing: We fill the pump housing, initiate the self-priming sequence, and test the Auto-Inverter mode to ensure the pump accurately learns your system's pressure.
- Wi-Fi Setup & Handover: We assist with connecting the pump to your home Wi-Fi network via the InverFlow App and walk you through scheduling and basic maintenance.
Warranty and Longevity
The Moov Ai Inverter Pool Pump comes with a comprehensive 3-year warranty on parts and labor. To ensure the longevity of your pump and maintain warranty coverage, proper winterization is mandatory. In cold climate environments like Southern Ontario, the pump must be drained from the strainer and housing, disconnected, and protected from snow or stored indoors. Damage due to improper winterization or dry running is not covered. Ensure proper water chemistry is maintained.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is a variable speed inverter pump worth the investment over a single-speed pump?
Yes, the Moov Ai Inverter pump can be up to 90% more energy-efficient than traditional single-speed pumps. By intelligently adjusting its speed to match the required flow, it significantly reduces electricity consumption while providing continuous filtration.
Do I need a dedicated electrical line for the Moov Ai pump?
Yes, the Moov Ai requires a 220-240V electrical connection. It must be connected to a branch circuit protected by a Ground-Fault Circuit-Interrupter (GFCI) to ensure safety and code compliance.
Can I control the Moov Ai pump from my smartphone?
Absolutely. The pump features a built-in Wi-Fi module that connects to your home network. You can use the InverFlow App to monitor power consumption, adjust flow rates, and set schedules remotely.
Is this pump compatible with salt water pools?
Yes, the Moov Ai pump is designed to handle salt concentrations up to 0.5% (5000 ppm), making it fully compatible with most residential saltwater chlorination systems.
What happens if the pump loses prime or runs dry?
Running the pump dry will damage the mechanical seal and cause leaks. However, the Moov Ai features an automatic self-priming function upon startup and includes built-in protection mechanisms. If it detects a loss of prime, it will display an error code (E209) and power off to prevent severe damage.
How quiet is the Moov Ai pump during operation?
The Moov Ai is exceptionally quiet, operating at just 36 dB(A). For context, this is quieter than a normal refrigerator and significantly quieter than traditional pool pumps, ensuring a peaceful backyard environment.
